True Christianity once held to sound reasoning and intellectualism as defenses against heresies and false teaching.
What's left of the Puritan and reformed churches consider the Christmas holiday to be a farce that the Catholics introduced to reconcile the winter solace festivities with the Christian religion.
Factually, the Bible indicates that Jesus was born in Autumn; and the events in Matthew chapter 2 and Luke chapter 2 verses 1 to 39 took place over a 2 year period rather than during a specific day.
And in the practice of the Christian religion, we are not commanded to observe the birthday of Christ or to regard it as a holy day. The old Christian ways also forbid us to invent our own religious practices and holy days.

I do NOT celebrate christmas, I celebrate yuletide, it's the solictice in the winter. It's what people celebrated for thousands of years before christianity plagued Europe.
It's doesn't say that Jesus was born in either Christmas or new years eve, the date isn't mentioned in the official scriptures. He was either born in January, May, March, April or October. No one knows the real answer, Christianity was born out of politics. I mean, most of the christmas traditions are out of nordic and germanic hedonism, it's all about tradition, not religion. People are given the freedom of choice, god expect us to believe .
